Benefits:
|
I use AKO Knowledge Center for more files. I
will make more use of AKO to serve you better. My goal is not to make a
mega website, but to point you in the right direction for the information you
need to do your job the best that it can be done. That has always been my intent
and that is how it started. A lot of effort has gone into AKO, yet not many are
not using it for what it is intended for, to help you do your job better.
There are two categories of downloads from
VaMRŠ, 1) automatic subscribe for downloads, and 2) those that will require
permission from me. The automatic subscribe to download files are what you would
find here in their original document format and additional files not found here.
The items that would require permission are things like a Unit Level Maintenance
test with answer key that I have reworked during my days in Europe. Using AKO
Knowledge Center allows me to serve you better in this ever changing world.
Many installation servers do not allow direct downloads from commercial sites
and sometimes commercial sites are cut-off from government computers. AKO
Knowledge Center is more accessible to you since it is part of your internet
community. Even if the government would shutdown the access either way from
commercial sites, you can still use AKO to exchange files with each
other, since I will have files in AKO Knowledge Center, I would still be
serving you even if you could not get to VaMRŠ.
PLEASE BE ADVISED, I ONLY HAVE CONTROL OVER
THE KCC's THAT I MANAGE AND DO NOT HAVE INFLUENCE OR PERMISSIONS TO DO ANYTHING
WITH YOUR PERSONAL AKO ACCOUNT OR EMAIL.
Note About Request Access File
Download at AKO Knowledge Center: If you are interested in the ULM
test it is available now to Senior NCO's and Officers of Active or
Reserve Component. All you have to do is request permission to be added.
If you have not made use of AKO, please take time to become familiar with it
before requesting permission. I am unable to provide assistance at this time on
how to use the AKO Knowledge Collaboration Center. To request permission for the
files follow the instructions for "Free to Download" files below. When
you see the list of KCC's containing the VaMR file, click on any of the VaMRŠ
File Share "Subscribe To" buttons. This is will send me a notice
that you want to subscribe. The next time I log into AKO I will review the
request. I will only grant permission to US Army Senior NCO's and above. This is
only because while I had used them, they were controlled within the unit. What
you do with them is entirely up to you. For the Forms and the such, this will
keep the request for assistance to the minimum. See below on how to get started.
Enjoy!

Note About Free to Download
at AKO Knowledge Center: If you want to find the ones
that are free to download at AKO, log in to your AKO account and then
click on the Collaboration tab. There type in VaMR (it is not case
sensitive) in the search KCC field at the top. After clicking on the find, you
should see about two files found and a "Subscribe to" tag on the left
of the information. One is for VaMRŠ
File Share and the VaMRŠ Downloads. VaMRŠ Downloads is for
all users, and VaMRŠ File Share is for Senior NCO's and above (see
Note About Request Access File Download above). Click on the
"Subscribe To" and it should give you the message that you are now
subscribed for VaMRŠ Downloads. For VaMRŠ File Share you will be
notified when you have permissions to use it. You will find the knowledge center
under Personal and Teams. After you click on the button on that screen
you should see the list of files available somewhere on the screen that you can
download. It may appear that you are only gaining access to the one file, but
you will have use of the entire knowledge center which contains other files. If
you have problems getting there, please wait until I get more detailed
instructions on-line. As I mentioned, the same files are found here and there
are detailed instructions in AKO. If you have information to share please send
them and I'll be glad to post it for you.
