1. What happened? Answer: I have been maintaining my website at the hosting server with no local back-up (I'll never do that again). Recently, I had decided to either find a less-expensive domain hosting company or just pull the plug. As always, when I have decided to pull the plug, a few of you will email and tell me the great job and information you get from VaMR, so I decided to continue but with a cheaper, (but definitely superior) hosting that what I did have. Since switching over is a rather quickly paced and time consuming, I allowed my FTP program to pull the files off the old server overnight. Which it apparently erred on me and didn't get all the files and I didn't know it. Now my old hosting is down and my new site is live with nothing on it. So I upload and found out then that I had a problem. Sorry!
2. Why do it all? Answer: Because of you! I started this all for me and then you started using it. Of course, I don't get much feedback on how to do things better, but I do get the very occasional "Great Job!" pat on the back. But this site is nowhere like I would want it to be, in fact I consider it a catch all kind of place, like a corner garage where you don't know exactly what you might find. It may be there, but you don't see so you have to ask and sure enough I've got it.
3. What's with the domain hosting? Answer: I've got to get something to help pay for this place to make it worth my time. I work full-time and have a family to take care of. If this thing ain't going to make me a dollar, it'll have to go. The domain hosting company I just joined up with is fantastic. I've gotten benefits from this company that I didn't think was available for less than 10 bucks a month. Half of what I was paying. They also have this resellers program where I act as a store front to push their product which I would not do unless I had full faith and trust and I do with these folks. You get domain hosting through me you keep VaMR on-line and them in business, sounds like a good deal to me. Check out some of the domain hosting packages they offer here.
